exoplanetDiana Lutz of the Washington University press office wrote a popular news article about research done by Dr. Fegley and Laura Schaefer on the silicate atmosphere of the exoplanet CoRot-7b. This news article was picked up and republished by a number of websites, such as Fox News, the UK Telegraph, MSNBC, Geology.com and more.

Bruce Fegley was also interviewed by an AP reporter, and Laura Schaefer by National Geographic.

A visitor from Germany

Professor Astrid Holzheid of the Institute for Geological Sciences at the University of Kiel, Germany has been visiting the Planetary Chemistry Laboratory for the past month. She is conducting high temperature controlled gas mixing experiments with Research Professor Lodders.
