Prof. Fegley and Laura Schaefer have submitted an
abstract to the 2007 Fall American Geophysical Union Meeting, which will
be held in San Francisco, CA on December 10-14. The abstract is entitled
"Chemistry of Earth's Putative Steam Atmosphere" and can be
downloaded here.

Dinosaurs, the Salt Volcanoes of Io, and Hot Exoplanets - Diverse

"Chemical Evolution I: Chemical Change Across Space and Time" at
the 233rd National American Chemical Society (ACS) meeting in Chicago, IL
on March 25-29. Prof. Fegley and Dr. Lodders are giving invited talks.
Laura Schaefer and Prof. Fegley have submitted a chapter for the
proceedings of the symposium "Chemical Evolution I: Chemical Change
Across Space and Time". The chapter is entitled "Chemistry and
composition of planetary atmospheres" and a preprint is available here.
Laura Schaefer presented a poster entitled "Trace Element
Chemistry During Metamorphism on Ordinary Chondrite Parent Bodies" at
the 38th Lunar and Planetary Science Conference in Houston, TX on March 12
- 16.

Katharina Lodders will give an invited talk for the symposium
"Chemical Evolution I: Chemical Change Across Space and Time" at
the 233rd National American Chemical Society (ACS) meeting in Chicago, IL
on March 25-29. The title of her talk is "Circumstellar chemistry and
dust from dead stars in meteorites". The abstract can be viewed here.
The paper "Outgassing of ordinary chondritic material and some of
its implications for the chemistry of asteroids, planets, and
satellites" by Laura Schaefer and Prof. Fegley appears in the
February 2007 issue of Icarus. A pdf file of this paper is
